Sometimes Birthdays make you do strange things (or is that just me?). Well, besides lapsing into wild behavior at one's birthday party (which I would NEVER do), often it's a time to take stock, review life, make better resolutions than were made on New Year's Eve, maybe do something impulsive, different, or something long wished-for. (This is where you nod your head in total agreement.)
Me? I decided I would record a lot of songs that I love to sing, regardless of musical style or song message, or even my ability to sing a song as well as it deserves. I did refrain from putting my Reggae version of Born to Be Wild on the same cd as my more sensitive and meaningful choices. That will be for a future cd. So, for my family and friends, I've made a cd of some Broadway, some "cabaret"-ish songs, and just some songs I wanted to sing 'cuz I like them!

Mom -- I will never be able to sing like you, but you'd probably like this stuff better than some of the hard rock or bluegrass I've inflicted on you over the years. Bless you for always listening!
